Im using the Universal Render Pipeline Asset.
I have bloom working. Issue is I cant seem to get bloom to only work with the assets that are assign to a certain layer. It seems to affect everything. I think it was set up based on brightness value. But I thought I can put assets on the same layer as the camera and bloom would only effect that layer. I have no idea what im doing.
It is possible to apply post processing only to selected layers, but it requires the use of a second Camera that is set to overlay mode. The problem is that the base camera has to be the one with the post processing, and the overlay camera renders on top of that. That means that effects like bloom cannot extend to surrounding objects that are rendered by the overlay camera.
Post processing, by definition, is done after everything else is rendered, so it can’t be applied selectively with just one camera, as far as I’m aware. And if the overlay camera is the one with post processing enabled, it will be applied to the entire screen again.
