Blue Galaxy WIP Shots

Now I have some more graphical assets put together things are starting to look a lot more like an actual game.

I love working with Unity, it is so artist friendly!

I like the mood of the environment that you have created. Keep up the great work. Would love to see more.

It looks really good. I like the way you made a kind of depth of field effect.

A fluent visual style is an improtant part of a game. I really like yours. It looks good. Keep it up!

When do we get to play around in this awesome looking world you’ve created?

Thanks Dakta,

I’m still learning scripting, this is my first time coding so I’m making a lot of mistakes. The movement and camera scripts still need a lot of work. I’d also like to have some form of game-play mechanic in place before I upload something playable. At the moment all you can do is run around and look at things.

Looks very nice. I can’t wait to play!

Looks nice!

Love it!!!

on a related note:

Elsker det!

Very good combination of art.
Definitely one of the best projest start offs I’ve seen in the past 10 years of indie - hobby game development

That there sounds like high praise…

I hope to get similar acclaim when my friend decides that it’s time to actually do something. He’s currently master of designs, and is holding on to all the sketches until he thinks they’re “perfect”. They don’t have to be…!!! :x :frowning: I just want them so I can send them and other related information to my design/modeling people…

I agree; Unity is artistically friendly. Great in-game images. Your trees and other foliage are excellent and very stylized.

I haven’t upgraded to Unity Pro yet and I assume your shadows are a pre-calculated shadow map?
Again, your plants and trees are very cool. What’s the average poly count? Are you planning to release a simple walk-thru. That would be well appreciated, too.

Keep it going.

Ps Don’t let the master of design slow you up. Concepts are great for direction but only 20 percent actually transfers over to the finished product. And what I see so far is your going to have a great product.

I’d be happy to post up some movement scripts so that we could all take a look at this. I really want to walk around in your world!

This looks great! But if those shadows are generated in realtime, its would be pretty graphically intensive.

Good lighting and sense of scale, which sets up the right mood for the scene, whatever the technology being used to render it. Great job, keep it up!
