If you don’t have it already: Unity Game Development Essentials by Will Goldstone is a must read.
Sounds Cliche, but this is a good place to start.
Introduction to Game Development by Steve Rabin is what I have. It’s comprehensive and informative. Further, if you plan on pursuing games as an academic subject in later education, you’ll find that the book comes invaluable - even though it’s now nearly six years old.
