Bright windows but dark room

Hello,

I have a problem with my GI Lightmaps… I don’t understand why and I need your help and explanations …

I have a very simple room, with many windows. My scene has a bright directional light (mixed mode), and the room has light probes group and a reflection probe. Everything is set static of course !
But, when I baked my lightmaps, the bright zone looks fine, but all the room is really dark…

Do you know what is my mistake ?

I attached screenshot of outside view, inside view and my parameters.

Thanks a lot for your time

Quentin

Your lighting setup looks fine, and the result you are seeing is expected. If you want to get more pronounced indirect lighting, then you can either:

  • Increase the intensity of your directional light, and then use tonemapping to adjust the scene exposure

  • Increase the Indirect Intensity slider in the lighting settings (this might cause issues with PBR materials)

  • Increase the Indirect Contribution strength in your light parameters (this might cause issues with PBR materials)
