According to their blog, NaCl is going to be enabled by default (at least soon). Does that mean, the web player is going to work in Linux, at least with Chrome?
…
Given that NaCL is not currently enabled… and the webplayer works - that would indicate the web-player is not NaCL based and therefor the default turning on of NaCL will have no immediate impact.
NaCl will be enabled with Chrome 14. And Unity has developed a special webplayer using NaCl. I remember reading, that Unity would publish that player as soon as NaCl is enabled by default in the Chrome browser…
By default… read your own post. NaCL does work with the current version if your willing to spend 5s’s enabling it
There is a big difference between ‘developed’ and ‘developing’.
Where?
I never made a statment: Unity content will be playable in Linux! I though, that I have read, that Unity will release a special NaCl version, as soon as it is enabled by default in Chrome. That’s the point. I am not sure, that’s why this thread has a question mark in the title…
Hence my reply “…will have no immediate impact.”
I’m just playing devils advocate ![]()
When Unity finally release the NaCL version it should be awesome.
