I’m a MFA student studying game development at the Academy of Art University in SF. I’ve decided to use the Unity 3d engine for my senior thesis final project. I have spent a few hours playing with it and I’m getting addicted quickly. I do have a few inquiries though and wanted some feedback or just answers. Here are my questions:

What are the modeling budgets for imported models? How many triangles?

What are the animation restrictions? How many bones are allowed in a skeleton?

What file formats are being used?

What UV map specs and texture spaces are best? 512 X 512, 1024 X 1024, 2048 X 2048?
