Bug reporting questions

I’m not sure where to post these questions, but it seems that here is a good place. Someone already asked the first one in Answers one year ago, but there wasn’t any reply.

  • How do I report website related bugs? I’ve found some bugs (mainly on mobile) in the website/forums, but there’s no clear way to report these. I would’ve used the “Report a Bug” inside Unity, but there’s no fitting “Type of Problem” for this case.
  • If I’ve found a bug in Unity, but it doesn’t require my specific project, should I attach my project anyway? I have a feeling that if I don’t attach it, my report won’t have the same priority.

First question:
For now, please report website bugs using the main Bug reporter tool. Pick any “Type of Problem” when submitting. We are working on a new version of the bug reporter for the 5.x cycle, and we might add a Website option for the Type of Problem field.

Second one:
It’s usually recommended that you attach a project or some type of file (screenshot, text document, anything helpful). Bugs with good descriptions, but no project attached also get attention. The ones that we filter out usually are completely empty bug reports with no project attached.
