Bug: Unity can't import class B which inherits class A which inherits MonoBehaviour in seperate DLLs

Unity can’t import class B (from DLL1) which inherits class A (from DLL2) which inherits MonoBehaviour in seperate DLLs when those DLLs are in different folders. I know that Unity can import class B if the DLLs are in the same folder but still, this is a big problem for our development life cycle :frowning:

I created this bug report: http://fogbugz.unity3d.com/default.asp?696013_efor11odr7vl94kn

Issue tracker : Search - Unity

When can I see this bug in issue tracker?
Issue tracker : Search - Unity

What is the status of this bug report? Is it gonna be confirmed or denied?

The problem with this is, it’s more of a feature request than a bug, or at least it’s written as such. Additionally, without including a repro project it get’s bumped very low down in priority. These are the most likely reasons why they have not been actioned by QA.

Yes, you are right but I didn’t have time to create a repro project when I reported this bug. Generally we encounter bugs when we are in the middle of something :frowning:

Can I attach repro project to a bug report on fugbugs after it was reported?

It may be possible to reply to the automatic e-mail to keep it in your case and attach it that way.

Today I received this email from Unity but I still can’t see the bug record on issue tracker. Can you please help me?

is the same issue or a different one? If it’s different I need the bug number.

Oh sorry. I forgot to add the email subject.

Re: (Case 696013) Remove limitation of having dependant DLLs in the same folder

It’s not on the issue tracker because it’s a feature request, not a bug.

How can I track the feature request which I reported and is accepted by Unity Team?

Any idea?

I posted it as a feature request on feedback page
