On various pages across the Unity website, content is translated that shouldn’t be translated.
For example here, on the German version of the download archive, “Unity 6” is translated to “Einheit 6”, which is the literal translation of “Unity” and should most definitely not be translated, since it undermines the Unity brand:
Similarly, on the CI/CD page, various brand names are translated in the testamonial section (“Second Dinner” → “Zweites Abendessen”, “Alt Shift” → “Alt-Umschalttaste”):
This is hilarious at best, but the people behind these brands are probably not happy with that.
Some pages are even not translated at all, such as resources, showing english content even though I am within the german sub-site.
There seems to be missing supervision when it comes to translating content. The content that is translated all feels like very literal translations. DeepL and various other LLM solutions, such as GPT4, are much more capable at translating coherently and context aware.
