I am developing an Android 2D Game in Version 2020.3.17f (LTS) of Unity. Its very simple at this point.
My Problem:
Everytime I built the game and put it on my phone, it crashes immediatly after the launch. Doesnt even show the “Made with Unity” Screen. I deleted serveral GameObjects to find the one which causes the problem.
Its the only Text-Object I wrote with TextMeshPro.
I imported all nessecarry files.
I deleted the object and made a new one. The problem persists. I opended the project in Unity 2020.03.13 (LTF), still persists.
Is this problem known by anyone?
Thank you very much in advance
regards, Skeasy
EDIT: Is this post on the right place? Maybe it would be better at “Answers” instead of “Forums”. Sry. If no one answers here, I will post it there.
Do you have any TMP objects actually in your scenes, or are they only prefabs? If there are no TMP objects in scenes then the build may not have included the the Text Mesh Pro shaders. If that’s the case, then you need to either add a TMP object to a scene that’s included in your build or add the TMP shaders to the “always included shaders” list in the build settings.
That’s kind-of a long shot, but it’s the only thing I could think of that could possibly cause problems with a build but not in the editor.
