I recently started using Unity to make an adventure game. This is the first time I actually make a game but it is awesome to do! I am still working on it but I have posted it on Kickstarter. So, maybe that can help me finish it. On the projectpage there is also a download link where you can find a small testgame to play if you like.
The testgame is about a Robot that tries to get out of a tricky situation in a shed, play it and find out if she can escape!
Let me know what you think of it when you played it!
You have awesome enthusiasm!
The mechanics look pretty solid in the game, but the art is at a pretty low quality at the moment.
If I could describe it in a polite way - I’d say it looks very blurry/blob-y with the dodge & burn tool over used.
You may want to consider collaborating with an artist to increase the visual quality of the game. Because it’s obvious the game mechanics are working well, should bring the art up to the same standard.
Don’t be discouraged by this. I’m just a fellow developer speaking honestly.
Good luck with the ks campaign.
I would have to agree with @theANMATOR2b on the art. I feel like the art hasn’t been fully fleshed out yet. You could check out the collaboration forum here or you could refine art that you already have so far. There is some potential here but it seems to be off in perspective and shading aspect. A lot of the art feel like it is flat and without depth. If you want to continue doing the art on your own (I know the feeling of seeing your art come to life) maybe you could check out some tutorials on working on those areas. Looking at your website it seems like you tend to use more traditional mediums, maybe look at some tutorials on creating digital art. Or even try embracing those traditional mediums and use that as the art style instead by scanning in your work.
Sorry for all the negative criticism… I just want to help out as much as I can. The game concept seems like it could be an interesting adventure.
