I can’t figure out what is wrong with my building. When I bring it into Unity as a .max file it has spaces between my windows, doors, walls on the outside.
In 3D Studio Max the building is perfect, though the shell has many different segments, it’s all together.
Do I have to destroy my building or is there a way to fix it?
Thanks for any help!
Does it work when you export it manually to fbx? Can you post your fbx and max files?
I export my buildings as FBX files and dont have this issue.
Try collapsing the stack on some of the objects (or make a simpler test scene) down to editable mesh/poly and see of the problem goes away, if it does then it could be a modifier compatibility issue.
If this helps then you could add a “Turn to Mesh” modifier to the top of your objects stack which will keep your modifiers intact but may help Unity when importing.
