"Bullet Golf" - Video Walkthrough

This is a pet project of mine that originally started when I was working with the Torque Game Engine.

I recently got the Ultimate FPS pack from the Asset store and it is so complete it has nearly everything I needed to do the game mechanics, with lots of icing on the cake (an AI plugin in beta for free!).

I had a nice city level asset from the Asset Store also so I spent about two days working on this and learning how to work with UFPS and this is what I have so far:

So my next steps when I get a chance to work on this again (not in any particular order):

  • make a nicer pin or set of pins. I may decide to use common objects like a mailbox, newspaper box, getting the can into a bus shelter or alcove the goals
  • beacons for the can, the pin and the tee off location
  • markers for the path from the can to the pin
  • distance readouts of the distance to the pin
  • mini map showing the can, bad guy, tee off, pin
  • camera finesse (cinematic shot tracking)
  • multiple weapons
  • enforce better method of dropping ball when it goes into a hazard
  • hazard and out of bounds detection
  • multiple random tee and pin locations
  • multiple bad guy locations
  • traffic hazards that can run over your can
  • moving platform hazards
  • can damage model
  • improved metabolism model
