I’m having a bit of trouble with trigger colliders.
It’s attached to a weapon that damages a monster when struck and it does that, but basically I would like it to do so only at certain times.
For instance when I swing the sword, I want damage to be inflicted. If the sword just brushes up against a monster mesh, I do NOT want damage to be inflicted.
This is really the last problem I have regarding this part of my project and I would be greatly appreciative if anyone could help.
I can think of one work around but I am looking for options as the way I came up with seems a bit more complicated than need be.

Check if the sword is swinging when you get the trigger event, or completely disable the collder when it is not.
