...but since Linux isn't an official editor platform *yet...*

I was reading some old threads and Tak suggested that Linux might one day be an official platform!

Just wishful thinking, or are there plans to make this happen one day?

Are there developers inside Unity that use Linux as their daily driver?
Can you tell us how big the team is that are dedicated to make sure things work well on Linux?

I can tell from just reading this forum that a lot of work goes into fixing bugs and making things work, I would love to see it as an official platform one day.

I guess it will be official as soon as it supports all the full features of Windows/Mac OS X releases. So probably the main thing that’s missing is Unity Hub.

yeah, looks like we are getting really close.

Another thing still missing is FrameDebugger support inside the Editor. I was hoping for it to be solved with the Editor running on Vulkan but seems there needs more work to be done.
