hello guys,
I am here asking you all, according to you which one among C# and JavaScript(unityscript) would be a good option in terms of features, ease and more resource full, something which makes the feeling of a good game. I was thinking of making a FPS games so according to that which one would be a good option and also name some good e-books which will teach me the best to learn the anyone of those languages, I found a book named unity 3.x scripting but many people say it’s not a good option, and also I searched for C# but no results, So please suggest me some good e-books name to understand FPS scripting and stuff in more detail, what exactly are the syntax and how to write scripts with Unity3D.
would prefer e-books instead of tutorials to go more in depth to understand the concepts properly,
I recommend C#. There’s a ton more help on the web for C#, and the new tutorials are all coming out in C#, so it seems like the best choice. Both languages are easy to use, though.
guys can you help me name some books which teach me about scripting with unity with C# because i searched for the same but they were not available, i have learning with C#, but no unity script or scripting with untiy3D in C#.
I’ve used both and, oddly, I’ve found C# to be more of a pain to work with, and most advice I’ve found on the web is actually for UnityScript (though its not tough to convert it).
The only perk I’ve found to using C# is that you get to pretend you’re better than everyone else. (but now I’m used to the syntax, so I can’t go back)
Both. They do the same things as there’s nothing more one can do than the other in Unity. One isn’t more powerful than any other. Most people are just biased.
I’m not much of a UnityScript expert, but I was under the impression that it didn’t support things like proper events, lambda expressions etc. Perhaps C# isn’t more powerful, as you can do similar things in US, but it’s certainly more expressive.
