C# vs Unityscript

Sorry for asking a question like this, but I couldn’t find the answer at all. I found it a couple days ago but not anymore.

What’s the performance differences between the two? C# seems to be a hell of a lot more popular so I was just wondering. Is there any particular reason you use c# versus Unity Script? Is it because c# is standard (correct me if I’m wrong)? Or the fact there are a lot more resources out there?
