Good morning every one.
My cuestion: Is posible run your Unity standalone application, from a web browser?
And the next I’m going to explain is very IMPORTANT.
Besides opening the application, I have to read some vars information.
For example: run myApp.exe -with myVar1-(int, “whitc scene is going to open”)
Thank you a lot!
Could you tell us more why you would need to do that?
Maybe you want to build a WebGL application, which is the way to run a Unity project within a browser.
I dont have to make webGL aplication. I have to run an application with some parameters from web browser
Thank you for your help!
It sounds like you want to make a Unity app that can register itself as the handler of a protocol. I’m not sure exactly how to go about this in Unity, but that is, at least, the magic word you should be able to search for for more information.
You’re not going to be able to do that because of security sandboxing, not without a plugin. Your best bet (if you’re only targetting Windows) would be to create a ClickOnce application and link to it from the web page. Allow the clickonce to open Unity on the user’s system… But it seems very clunky and you don’t know where Unity is installed or what version. For instance, I have 9 different versions of Unity installed side-by-side for asset maintenance, testing and development. And none of them are installed in the default location.

I’m also interested in this, it must be possible as VR Chat does it.
As was mentioned, you could create a protocol for it javascript - WEB: Launch executable from browser - Stack Overflow. But this involves modifying your registry, so you would need to go through a setup process (like VR Chat does)

Thank you, I will give this a bash. It seems straightforward enough. Might even make a store asset for others to use.
