Cam View Vs Editor View, Perspective Question

Why is there such a difference between the cam view and editor view, not in terms of camera angle and position, but the cam view seems much more “bug eyed”. How can I “flatten” the cam view out so it is much more like the editor view?

by changing the Field Of View on the Camera.

What zoom? I don’t think so. My tests still show a warped, an exaggerated curvature of the “earth” on the cam view. The style of the editor view is much more desirable.

??

I never said anything about Zoom, the Field Of View is most likely what you are wanting in this case. It is a property on the Main Camera.

Right, but is zoom.

Ok, I see. So, what I should do, is find the right fieldOfView and simply and just camera pos.

Thanks!!

A by product of fov is zoom but it does more than that. Low fov means less perspective distortion high fov means more perspective distortion.

Same thing for real life when adjusting the focal length on a SLR lens

Awesome. I have been working in orthographic the past couple of years. I did not realise that.

Cheers!

Ya orthographic means no perspective distortion, which is unrealistic since even the lenses in the human eye apply perspective distortion.
