Camera color block transition

Hi guys, i am doing a unity 2D platformer for android devices, i would ask one thing… Can i change the blackground camera color with block animation ( if is possible i want don’t use sprite technique but only change color with block animation ) maybe this can help :

This tutorial might help you out, I think. You should be able to apply it to the background.
