Camera in unity not resizing the same as the camera on devices

I am having an issue with Unity 3D. I am adjusting the Normalized Viewport Rect based on aspect ratio on the camera. It works great on all resolutions and aspect ratio’s inside of Unity 3D. When I port out to certain devices however, there is a margin of black empty space on the top of the screen (Portrait Mode) I am thinking about buying the full unity licence but I can not commit until this display issue is resolved. Why would it look fine inside unity but not on the devices? I have dug in the forums and other support sources for a good solution to this issue but there seems to be none. PLEASE HELP!!!

I don’t recall encountering this issue in 3.42, so I assume it must have cropped up in the 3.5 Dev Preview. I tried reverting back to the older version, but on Mac the installer complained that a newer version has already been installed even after deleting the files.

Just rename the Unity folder to something else, so you can have both versions installed at the same time.
