Camera is Casting a Weird Shadow Across the Scene

Hi All,

I am new to Unity and this is the first time I’ve messed around with lighting. My issue right now is that there is a large shadow being cast over one half of my main plane in one of my scenes. It wasn’t there earlier, and I’m not sure what I changed to make it appear. I have very few objects in the scene and I’ve tried turning on and off all of them to see where the shadow is coming from. It looks like the shadow is being cast by the main camera itself as the shadow moves when I move the camera position. What’s weird is that the shadow isn’t circular like I’ve seen in some other posts about cameras casting shadows, it’s just this large straight-edged diagonal across the scene. Also, doesn’t really change shape the way I would expect it to when I try moving around the directional light sources. Is this supposed to happen for some reason? Is there a way to disable the camera’s ability to cast a shadow?

Thanks!

Same issue. I would love to know why this problem even exists. Why is the camera casting shadows?

I had an issue similar to this but I’m not sure if it’s the same one. I fixed it by switching my camera near plane from 0.01 to 0.1

I have the same issue, it only happens to me when I use baked directional lighting with realtime directional lighting on top of that.

just delete direction light and add again it worked for me some kind of unity bug
