Hello there!
I recently started my first project using HDRP, and I’m having some trouble with my camera.
Whenever my character moves (and so does the camera since it’s following the player), the image gets blurry, it looses focus. Once it stops, the focus comes back to normal.
Is there a setting I’m missing somewhere to make this stop?
Thank you! It was indeed the TAA.
But with the TAA off i noticed the grass region got really jagged.
I zoomed the game window 3.7x and it turns out that the shadow is responsile for the jagged effect cause it is coming out supper pixelated.
I have tried tweaking the shadow options but nothing did the trick so far.
Looks like you’ve got contact shadows on, try disabling them if that is the case, they are nice for certain things but in your case I think they will be more trouble than they are worth.
You could really benefit from some form of AA though. TAA is the best at getting rid of aliasing, but Unity’s current implementation leaves a bit to be desired, especially due to the blurring. I believe you should have other options of AA in HDRP though, like FXAA, SMAA or MSAA. Try them out.
TAA got largely reworked for 9.x.x and 10.x.x and it includes control diminishing blurriness upon movement quite significantly (See TAA specific fields in here HD Camera | High Definition RP | 10.0.0-preview.27 )
