I translated a motion blur shader to Unity from GPU Gems 3.Its a cheap postprocessing motion blur thats works with camera movement. The rotational blur works fine, but I cannot get translational blur to work.I suspect there’s something wrong with my matrixes but I’m not sure how to fix it.
Here’s the shader, its actually quite usable as it is,translational blur is often removed in games anyway
You need ImageEffects scripts from prostandard in your project if you want to try it
Dang, that’s good! Sometimes you scour the internet looking for that small bit of polish your game is missing, and somebody decides to play Santa and provide an excellent script like this - imho every action game should probably have this script, especially FPS games would benefit (although for FPS-type games I’ve found the default value is WAY too strong - I set it to 200 and it looks about perfect).
While I can’t answer what’s the problem in your shader… FYI, Camera Motion Blur (using several techniques, from simple Portal-style blur to more complex reconstruction motion blur) image effect will ship as part of Unity 4.0.
