Camera (real-time) + 3D + plane surfaces = how to?

Sorry about the topic subject. It is hard to think on a good way to describe the entire topic into few words.

How can I use the tablet/cellphone camera to capture any surface and simulate a plane and 3D objects on the surface!?

I would be using the image real-time and if for example I have a table… the “engine” would show in the screen 3D objects placed on the table.

anyone could give me direction so I can go for it!?

Augmented reality can do this but it does require some sort of marker for the engine to track. Check out vuforias unity plugin or metaio. Both work very well for this. I haven’t used metaio much, but vuforia is relatively easy to implement. Hope this helps.

indeed! Really enjoyed!!!
I’m still reading about metaio. I’m really disapointed with vuforias princing, although it’s amazing! Just need an recon of an surface to work my own 3D models on it. Still gonna test both of them!

Thank you so much.

I found this one on the asset store and comparing for licensing, it is much better.
Thanks to you that gave me the correct name of this feature: “Augmented reality”… I’m finding much more resources than before.
