Camera Setup compared to Real world

Hi,

I am developing a Cricket Game and have fabricated my objects based on real life scale. However i am not able to set up the camera to reflect how it appears on the Tele or in Other games.

Real Game

My Game

My center pitch is very narrow and long if i have to fit it into frame. I want to increase the width and shorten the length.

If i decrease the field of view, it does not display the full center pitch. Would love some insight or guidance on how i should go on setting this up.

Thanks

You almost got it, you indeed have to lower the field of view, but also then move the camera further away so that everything is in shot. I don’t know what the correct fov would be but try maybe 15 and then move the camera far far away until everything is in shot and see if it looks correct. If you are able to find how far away the camera is in real life you could put your in-game camera at the same distance and then change the fov to match the picture.

Thank you so much, that helped. Moving the camera further away and decreasing the field of view.
