Today i finished a campfire asset for Unity, I think it turned out pretty nice and wanted to share it with the community. If you want to check it out you can download it here: http://www.davidstenfors.com/downloads/campfire
Includes flame and ember particles, and also “wavy air” effect using the Unity 5 glass/distort shader.
Do you know how i should create a script which is responsible the I will be able to ignite the campfire with other object and the camp fire deactivate after a time ?
I’ve downloaded this and given you 5 stars because hey… it’s free! and will save me alot of time looking into the effects you have (love that heat distortion effect)… one thing that is missing (apart from sound effects - which is well not your problem i guess) is smoke… Here is a screenshot from Stranded Deep (also made in Unity) and it’s smoke effect… you can see it from a long way away as well…
I wont be updating/adding stuff to this since its free, but you could add this smoke from the asset store and tweak the colors and opacity to match the effect you want.
