Can CM rotate only horizontally while aiming?

Hi! I’m using a cinemachine as a top-down camera and I can’t figure out how can i “force” aim rotation only on one axis. Is there a way to do that?

“Top-town” isn’t sufficiently descriptive. Can you show the vcam inspector,? What rotation do you want to make?


The VCam is bounded bu a 3d box collider. I want the camera to aim at the player rotating only to the left or to the right when it reaches the collider’s border

What happens when you set the vcam’s Aim to “Composer”?

It instantly rotates down towards the character (and it rotates up when the character jumps)

Try setting a large vertical dead zone in the composer.
