What do you mean by “real award”?

As such you will get an eCPM based on average of your users, so it’s up to you to decide how big reward you’ll give for watching a video in your game. Using ads for rewards in your game has shown to be a good strategy for games, as described in e.g. https://blogs.unity3d.com/2015/04/15/a-designers-guide-to-using-video-ads/ where you can also find more information.

EDIT: After talking with people internally, we don’t allow giving real awards to your players, as this is a grey area in terms of incentivizing your players to “behave fair”. It’s in everyone’s interest that we keep a healthy network, and by introducing real rewards, users might be encouraged to “suboptimal behaviour”

You’d have to track how many videos they watch so you can determine if they should get a real reward or not, but it would take a lot of views to make it worth your trouble.

The “lack of info” you speak of is simple. You determine what happens if a person watches ads in your game/app. There may be some limitations on whatever app store you use though, so you’ll need to look into that. I don’t think Unity is concerned with what you reward.
