Can I pan a scene using Magic Trackpad?

Currently I need to do a lot of switching back and forth between the navigation mode (hand icon) purely to pan, but I’m able to comfortably navigate scene view in object modes using my magic trackpad with option+click to rotate, and two-finger swipe to zoom in and out, but is there a similar shortcut for panning?

Hmm... decided to experiment a bit. You can do it by holding option+command+click :)
