I think steam lets you release your work for free, but what about consoles? Can I make a Unity game and then release it for free on the PS store and Xbox live or is it required that you charge money? I regard myself as an artist and thus don’t really care for the money.
You will get advised, much like you will on Steam, to charge some price for it, but you can generally ignore that advice.
Artistry and money are not mutually exclusive.
