Can I restrict PostProcessor usage to capable devices?

I have a project for IOS mobile almost complete, and would like to add some PostProcessor effects.
On newer more capable devices it seems to work ok, but on older devices it struggles.
My question is, is there any way to determine a devices capabilities so that the post processing can be turned-on/off accordingly, so that the performance is always good?

To be honest, I have no idea what would be the best solution, since I’ve never done anything remotely close to your problem. But I’ve come up with an idea, that surely sounds like it’s not perfect, but should do the trick

You could load the postprocessor in worst quality, then check the fps, if it is high and stable, you can load better quality postprocessing.
