Can I see the code Unity creates?

As usually happens when I first learn a new tool, the biggest stumbling block is always the most basic questions because those seem to be the hardest to find answers to via search engine. Is Unity like Dreamweaver where you can look and manipulate the code it produces? I’m not talking the javascripts you create for the game, but actually be able to go in and see what has been written and fiddle with the code directly.

You can use ILSpy: it’s a decompiler that can show the resulting code in IL or C#. Download and install ILSpy, then open the compiled DLL files in (project folder)\Library\ScriptAssemblies.
