Can I use Third party assets in a commercial game?

Hello, I am brand new to using Unity. Is it legal/kosher to use third party assets in a game I’m going to sell? I have zero digital art, 3d modeling, or 2d design skills, so the assets in the asset store would make my life hundreds of times easier if it’s okay to use them (free or paid).

Yes. Thats the point of the asset store.

Some very few assets have their own special licenses, you have to abide by those terms, but I doubt many of them would have terms preventing use of the assets in a game (maybe some editor asset might prevent you using their editor code in a game).

In the rare instance that an asset is not for commercial use, it will be made clear in the description. 99.999999999% of assets on the store don’t have that restriction. I’ve seen a handful from Unity themselves, and a few older “lite” assets where they are trying to upsell you to a higher tier (I don’t think Unity likes letting sellers do that anymore either), but can’t recall any others. They probably exist, but just read the descriptions of the asset before you pick it up, and otherwise assume they are good to go.

All the above is for the Unity Asset Store specifically. If you are getting assets from any other source, you will have to review whatever license the assets are distributed under.
