i just get and ipod touch and tried to play some games, when i click on download on any game itunes says that is the first time i use itunes with that id and prompt me to add my credit card information and other stuff, once i filled the page and click submit i get an error saying “the store may be busy” bla bla this has been happening during all the day, i´ve tried update itunes and leopard thought i get the same error
what can be wrong?

FYI, I just tried to connect to the AppStore (using my iPhone) and can’t. Might be transient, might be related, I’m not sure but thought I’d offer it up in any case…
Edit: minute by minute update, all is good now. 
iTunes application area is going through a revamp, they are redoing the internal working of the backend to the store, you have a <50% chance of it working consistantly. Do to the new app section, they are overwhelmed and the secondary hosting they are using doesn’t always work, so retry a few times and hopefully you will hit a working branch.
well then only in USA
the european / swiss one has not the least problem.
