Hello, I had to make this second account because when I tried to make my first Unity account, the confirmation email did not come (I checked spam folder).
I suspect it could have been caused by me putting an apostrophe in the “Full Name” field. When I made this account, I omitted the apostrophe and I received my email instantly.
With the first account, which has my desired email and username, I can’t even log on to try and resolve the issue, so I’m left posting here on a different account.
Yes I checked many times and I used the correct email address.
The apostrophe is not in the username. It was entered in the “Full Name” field on my account creation. As in, my personal name. It was allowed, but for some reason I’m having problems.
Well, now that your account is created, you can modify your full name in your account settings. This link should get you to the right place: https://id.unity.com/en/account/edit
If anyone is curious, I was able to resolve the issue by going to unity support page, using the chat room to contact a support agent, making sure to use my desired email in the field, and reporting my problem.
He said there were problems with the servers, and he manually verified my account. I had to restart the hub to pass the “verify email” screen.
