Can unity be used with javascript for console games?

I am a improving javascript developer, and am wondering if javacript can be used along with WebGL (or WebGL library) to develop a console game.

Yes and no.

Yes you can target a console and do your scripting in JavaScript.

No, you wouldn’t create a WebGL project and try get that published by one of the console companies. You’d be handicapping yourself if you even could because WebGL is still early access and doesn’t support everything the rest of Unity does.
