Can we have our old Convert to post & Convert to comment buttons back ?

  • There are cases where users answer their own questions as tiny-tiny comments under their main post and don’t bother to clearly mark their threads as resolved.

  • There are also cases where other users post a comment and it turns out to be a solution.

We don’t have the tools to clean up threads like that right now anymore. Well, other than just cite the comment manually, like here:

(and there are many more threads like this one out there)

Hi @andrew-lukasik,
This is definitely a shortcoming of the current feature set.

I don’t think we’ll be able to add a conversion method anytime soon but we will look into ways to lower the pain around this issue.
