Yes you can sell it, read the EULA.
No, you can’t use someone elses music. It’s not yours.
I don’t understand.
Suppose if our game can make money only 1000k every years, we should buy pro version or not?
//Sorry my bad english.
If you make more than $100,000 USD then you need a Professional license.
$100,000 USD per year ? and per 1 game ?
// Sorry my bad english
It’s $100,000 USD per year, but not per game.
It would be $100,000 USD per year for your company, not just your game. Then you’d need to buy Pro. As to the music from another game, that would be a no unless the music is creative commons or in the public domain which it most certainly is not. There are some rare occasions where you see it though. I believe the opening song for Fallout 3 was a really old public domain song.
Anyone ever seen a game for sale with the Unity splash screen?
It’s on the Internet Archive now marked as public domain.
$100,000 It very too much.
Thank you for every answers.
See? Here we going again, UT: Personal (learning) Edition moniker will just bring more threads like this.
Theres no need to derail topics with jackassery like that.
We were getting similar threads prior to the moniker. Some people simply cannot understand a legal document.
It’s also not just games in general. Any entity grossing more than $100,000 USD per year can’t use unity free. A lot of colleges are breaking the rules, but I imagine UT let’s that slide so UE4 doesn’t dominate the next generation of developers who went to college.
In all seriousness… wth are you on about?
Actually, has anyone? I could have sworn that I’ve seen the Unity splash screen on Endless Space before it got really big…
Apparently if you ask this question, you done messed up.
Does it matter?
Unity4 free version wasn’t that good that’s why you haven’t saw a lot of of games with tht eunity splash screen, once Unity5 has came with all it’s features a lot of people and companies has joined unity to make their own games, so to answer you.
Yes and No, Yes that there will be more games using Unity5 Personal soon and no I haven’t seen any Game for sale with the unity splash screen YET.
Aaand closed, way to derail someone’s question.
To be honest I have raised it many times that it’s not clear enough that the Personal edition can be used unless you earn $100k/yr & has all the features and royalty free. But we do have an FAQ
