Can you change how Unity scales down textures?

When I scale down an image in Photoshop I have options for how an image scales down; bicubic, bilinear, nearest neighbor, etc.

When I change the texture quality to “Half Res” in the quality settings menu, it appears that Unity does a smooth scale down of the texture where adjacent pixel colors blend together. I would like Unity to scale down images and not have the colors blend together, just like the nearest neighbor option scales down images in Photoshop does.

Is there a way to change how the scaling happens?

You can click on the texture in the Asset pane and change the texture import options. so try changing it from ‘Texture’ to ‘GUI’ or playing around with the other options available.

Other than you can’t really affect how it is imported.
