Can you give me your opinion on my game?

Hello guys i just released my first game to google play(jetpack joyride clone with planes) i worked on it about 5-6 months(in my spare time) but i get no downloads(im using only 1 interstitial ad from admob),i know there are tons of stuff i still have to do to make it look as i want it to be but every asset i am planning to buy and use for the game costs a bit and that’s why i am hoping the game will bring some money so i can reinvest them in it,but i thought id ask about your opinion - what do you like, what you dont, what do you think i should change…basically any advice will be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your opinion it means a lot to me,the graphics are mixed because i haven’t bought the new spaceships asset pack and i was eager to release the game first.I will implement them soon enough.

I think you need better description of the game.

“spend all the hard earned money in the in-game shop” this sound like a cash grab to me.

Need a video to be able to comment. Don’t have an Android device.

  1. Game play trailer - promoting the top feature you believe the game has. If the top feature is the number of vehicles available - structure the trailer around that feature.
  2. Does the game have any hook beyond jetpack joyride? Lazers and Rockets? If so - show that off and make it evident in everything, the promotional material, trailer, description etc. etc. compared to other games.
  3. Why would someone play your game instead of Jet Pack Joyride?

Which assets are you talking about? Are you talking about more vehicles, different ‘enemy’ types different after burner effects?
I ask because - the assets in your game (besides the planet images in the BG) are quite minimal. I think ANY person could create the assets already in your game, and NEW similar assets - without any artistic talent at all.
They look like simple assets to create - similar to “how to draw a spaceship” assets. Check it out.
You might be able to create some ‘custom’ assets yourself - with little effort. It might be a better option to add content to your game - rather than waiting for the ad money to start flowing in.

This is good advice.
