can you make OWN human models with free unity only?

hi i’m new to unity

and i just wondered if it is possible to make your “own” human model from just using free unity?

or must i buy the pro unity?

You can import anything you want.

Unity is not a 3D Modeling package like Maya, Max, or Blender.

Yeah, you can do that with UMA.

Why do you need such definite responses like you’re purchasing a home or something? You can just download it for free and check out all the features you want.

Well, depends on what you mean by “human model”. With Unity free you can create, say 11 cubes, re-scale them, and use them to build a biped character. (And yes, I know the screen shot was taken from Pro, but the same thing can be done with free.)
