CANDLE - A 2D adventure with handmade graphics

We are 2-3 months away from our release date, and today we revealed a lengthy gameplay video from our very first game, Candle, a 2D puzzle-based adventure currently in development using Unity 5. Hope you like it!

In case you are wondering, yes, the narrator is voiced by Terry Wilton, the man who also did the narrator in the Trine series!

Well, thanks! It’s been a hard, long process.

Yeah looks really great, and Terry is an amazing narrator. I’d use him for just about any game!

I love the visual style, reminds me slightly to Machinarium. Very nice, and made by Spanish! Good work, countrymen! I’ll follow your work. ¡Saludos desde Galicia!

It’s really beautiful. Any chance you can link the soundtrack or will that be paid-for?

Thanks!

We will sell the soundtrack separately in Humble Store and Steam, but we will most likely upload it to YouTube. Glad you also liked the music!

My word that is beautiful. So professional and polished. Almost mesmerizing and certainly relaxing to watch that game-play video. Very well done.

Nice one. Looks good.
At the start, i couldn’t distinguish between the walking platform and the surrounding graphics. So I was like, what’s going on and where is he gona go. Maybe need to change the colour of platforms, or background, which right now is very yellowish, so it can be easily spotted. Anyway it’s my two cents, or it could be just me seeing it this way.

Thanks for the feedback. None of our testers has expressed that concern, maybe because playing it live feels a lot different (video compression in YT is awful). Anyway, we are still polishing the game so there is still time to add some final touches here and there

Thanks!
