My wife decided to learm unity a month ago, and in the begining of january she decided to get in to the kongregate contest, so we deicded to do it!
i´m starting my indie studio caled D-3STUDIO since that i and she are working on this game. i will finish soon and uploade on kongregate.
she had prototyped and programed the big part of the project! impressive for me. she never get tunned on technologie…
i´m adjusting scripts and the game.
concept art, model and textures is done by me, and main concept of the game is creation of my wife ( i´m start thinking i a luck guy hehehe…)and the frist concept of the candyzilla and ghosts she done!

The biggest letdown for me, really is the GUI and font work. If you take that away, the game looks reeeeaaally wonderful. But with it added on top, the colors and the scale, it ruins the complete picture for me. It kinda lacks a consistent color scheme when put together.
I really hope you go the extra mile and get that extra polish done and this will be a nice candidate for winning a high contest rank. Or just huge sales

really lovely concept,
the only thing i would change is having the main character
defeat the opponents in a different ways (than just shouting things from his mouth)
like he could throw something to the enemies
or make a big bubble gum to bash the opponent with it
the classic jump on the opponents could also work

The mains GUI still in work in progress! no tittle screen, no main menu, nothing is done yet, all this stuff coming later in my priorits!
the color as selected to fit in main contest of the game and history of the game! we trying to don´t use basic primary color fully saturated to get more climax and don´t look so colorfull.
looks like Totoro, but looks like a big fat bunny too and if we search in the internet looks like a other character too, is very hard to get new shape and form to a character…

Iam very pround of the job we had done in 27 days, by 2 people.
How is amazing work with unity 3d, and we just did it on free version, I cant wait to get the PRO one!!!
The story of this game is like this;
Patrick asked me if I want to try to win $10,000 US , and I said OF COURSE!!
So we started to think about a story to this game, and I ve got this one!
working very hard on it, we ve spent 27 days, sleeping 4,5 hours per day! that was awfull, but fun!
To travel to another world, to get in this dark forest became a challenger for us, much more than the $10,000 US.
Programing, designing, make it work piece by piece, asking to the neighbors to play in our computers to see if it work to people as it works to us, and look to the nice faces when they played it it was sooooooo nice!
we had a GREAT time doing it!
I do hope all of you enjoin to play Candyzilla!
And please dont leave the game to run to buy a CUPCAKE!!!HEHEHEH
Be hilarious if all of a suddent he games direction changed to M. Candymonster has the ability to middle finger candy citizens before eating them. He can sack them and 50 Cent Music on in the background.
Looks and sounds amazing, though I had a couple of beefs with gameplay
No in game menu to change the controls, I was using a 360 controller and run was pressing in the left analog stick, jump was B and shoot was Y, which was really awkward, should make it so we can change the controls
When you died your momentum persisted which would lead to multiple cheap deaths because you’d respawn with enough momentum to fall into a hazard over and over again when you died with momentum, should set all velocities to 0 on the character on respawn
No air control or way to control how far a jump was once pressing jump made some sections very frustrating to navigate, one of those should be added.

about the 360 control Patrick had played before like this all the time before we publish the game and it was ok and working.
we ll check all this you are telling and try to fix, because is very important to us!
we feel the graphics are very nice, because this is what we do know how to do !, about unity and scripts we still learning, and need to get much better. If you can help feel free! thanks a lots!
