Hello, I am trying to create New Projects on Unity 2019.3 through the Hub but I cannot seem to load anything.
Unity 2019.3 forces me to install Unity Hub 2.3.1 in order to load/add projects and to use the Asset Store… Why?!
When I am in Unity Hub 2.3.1 and try to add a ‘New’ Project, it gives me a text-less “Unity Launch Error” message.
I get this textless “Unity Launch Error” specifically when:
- Attempting to access a project I was able to create pre-Hub download
- Attempting to create any new Project, or access any existing Project through Hub
- Previously, when I have attempted to create a New Project, it would create a file path that was visible in the Hub, but it would not appear in my Hard Drive, and would return a ‘File Path does not Exist’ Error.
For each attempt to create a new Project via Hub:
The Project is not actually created in my D:\ Drive (Or C:)
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Unity 2019.3 and Unity Hub on my C:\ and D:\ drive, and neither have been successful.
For a project that was created beforehand, I can open the Asset by accessing the Project.unity file directly in the folder, but I cannot create new scenes or new Projects from the inspector.
All of the files in my Unity folder appear to be read-only. I do not know if this is affecting the platforms ability to create projects.
How do I determine whether this is an issue with my Computer (or Unity?) How would I go about creating a Debug file?
It is incredibly frustrating to find that I cannot actually interact with Unity out of the box. Intuitively you should be able to download the Free/Personal edition and use it immediately…
