"Cannot initialise Cloth: All scale components must be non-zero." Happens only in build

Why is this? Editor play mode works fine and I cannot find anywhere anything about this error.

In the build cloth is missing and FPS tank, while if I enable logs it spams this error. I tried setting the meshes to read/write already.

I have the same problem, it works in the editor but the build logs warnings and cloth doesn’t work. I believe they optimized cloth physics in the 2022 patch notes, so maybe it is related to that and we should file a bug report

Same here. Works on Dev build and editor but not shipping. Also works in Intel-32 bits…

I’ve filed a bug report about 3 weeks ago but haven’t heard back yet, lets hope they fix it soon

+1. Also made a bug report today (IN-29064). Can confirm that Dev build is working. It is also working on Mac and Linux build, but not Windows build.

Unfortunately not, also asked back on the internal JIRA again, but no answer yet. It is awful to use Development Builds for previews etc. (which we have to do right now). And I still can’t believe that a complete feature is broken on an entire platform (PC Windows) and this doesn’t seem to be a prioritized thing.

It seems to be fixed for us with 2022.2.10, but the issue is still open and nothing mentioned in the patch notes. Is it fixed for someone else?
