Cannot install Unity Web Player

I installed Unity Web Player just yesterday, and when I checked on this site today after unsuccessfully loading up a Unity game, I discovered it was not installed! So I installed it again, only to find a message pop up and start blinking every second. “The following applications are using Unity Web Player. Quit them to continue installation.” I tried doing so, yet the message still kept blinking and I had to abort the installation.

I was completely positive I had installed it the day before. Now I can’t even test my game on the Internet. Why is this?

I am also having a problem with the web player that may or may not be the same issue. I download the latest webplayer and I get an error but in the window. And it claims I don’t have a new enough version.

Can you guys file a bug report via Unity editor and add some more details? Like what OS, browser, what account privileges you have etc?
With just the info you provided I have not much to go on.

I encountered this problem when I tried to view the Mixamo animations on their site. After installing the plug-in and trying different versions. I finally was able to get it to work by switching from IE to Google Chrome.:frowning:
