Hi,
I’m am using Unity Hub on a Mac and receive a message “Something went wrong” when I log in.
The only one error I can see in log is "https://api2.amplitude.com/2/httpapi failed, reason: unable to get local issuer certificate"
I know about the root of this error: my Mac is protected by zscaler, which replaces the genuine certificate in responses by its own. I did follow Unity - Manual: Trusting the web proxy security certificate and add the zscaler root and intermediate certificate to upmconfig.toml. But it seems not to affect the Unity Hub.
Do anyone more have this issue? Is upmconfig.toml the proper place to configure additional certificates?
Thanks a lot and BR!
One more thing, you can right-click on the Unity icon and try to open it as an administrator. I figured out this is all because of the antivirus.
Update: I was able to contact the Unity team and inform them about the bug. They replied by saying that they are aware of the bug but not willing to fix it because they couldn’t reproduce it. This is weird. Also, I realized that this is not the final solution. After turning on the firewall and Antivirus, the problem could reappear. So, there’s something happening in the background that is preventing the software from connecting to the Unity servers. So, you guys need to find a solution to whitelist the software or at least give it permission to use the network. I think the solution is related to this. Even if it’s temporary, the above video solution helps well in my case.
My ampli.load error came from using a new Mac account that wasn’t admin as well. Adding admin powers, then restarting, then launching as admin in command line terminal via sudo /Applications/Unity\ Hub.app/Contents/MacOS/Unity\ Hub got it to work for me.
Reposting in a couple places in case it helps anyone else!
