i put in a first person controller into my terrain, raised the height so when i press play it drops. i can look around and jump but i cannot walk. i tried pressing wasd , the arrow keys and nothing will work. any help?

what i mean is that when i press play at the top, it lets me look around using the mouse and i can jump using spacebar, but when i press WASD is doesnt let me walk around, or if i use the arrow keys. Get what im saying???
Is the terrain to steep for the player to walk? Have you tried starting a new project and doing it there? Also, what version of Unity are you using?
A fresh beginning often does the trick. Like animations getting retarded or not playing. If you just start a whole new scene it often fixes it. Maybe you modified something or its just a bug. Sometimes you might even need to reimport a package cause the packed could be messed up. Etc. Dont know why but it happens.
