We have been having this issue were occasionally unity becomes unable to convert one of our rigs to FBX. The only way to fix it that we have found is to delete the history and rig. Recreate the skeleton and rebind the mesh. Obviously this isn’t ideal.
Sadly we can’t find anything in the files that would cause this. Whats even stranger is doing a “save as” on one of the working files that use the same rig will cause it to stop working as well. Whenever a rig corrupts like this they continue to look just fine in maya and other animations and rigs continue to work. We have tried manually exporting the .fbx files but find they also fail to work in unity. Any thoughts on what could be causing this and where we should look?
